Golang Contract-to-hire position.

Location: 100% Remote - would prefer candidates in the Eastern and Central Time Zones, They are located on the East Coast

Duration: 6 months Contract-to-hire

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced engineer with proven experience in developing web applications, with a focus on JavaScript front-end and a GoLang back-end implementation. You will work as a member of our existing team developing and deploying new product application stacks and working on feature enhancement and defect resolution for our existing product stacks.

You will collaborate with other technical staff to deliver and maintain a fully functional software implementation. We hope you can put your passion for software engineering to work for creating highly immersive user applications.

Must have

3 years of Golang experience

2 yrs of PostgreSQL

Front end website architecture

Back-end website

applications development

Cross-platform optimization for mobile Designs and developing APIs

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop concise, structured, and elegant code utilizing JavaScript, GoLang, and SQL for the front-end, back-end, API, and data layer

Collaborate with other technical staff to ensure consistent and smooth implementation and process workflows

Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design

Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements

Support, maintain, and document software functionality

Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed

Choose and implement other JavaScript and GoLang libraries that will optimize performance without sacrificing security and base functionality

Manage multiple projects within reasonable design specifications and budget restrictions

Work within a collaborative team environment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated proficiency in JavaScript and GoLang web application development programming, with a preferred understanding of VueJS and REST API development

An understanding of SQL, with a preferred focus on PostgreSQL

Working knowledge of HTML and CSS

Strong proficiency in Git, JIRA, and the Agile / Scrum methodologies

4+ years of relevant experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience working with a team

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
